Absolutely beautiful weather and setting and of course another fine performance by The Trishas.  Can't think of a better way to end the day and week-end than sitting outside on a cool, breezy evening, having a glass of Merlot and listening to four of the best voices you will ever get to hear up close and personal.

Welcome to Finland Dallas 2012

We sat with the Lonestar Parrothead Club at Gexa Energy Pavilion for the Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band performance last night. Good seats, perfect weather and as usual a fine performance. Gexa is not nearly as good as the Cynthia Woods Mitchel Pavilion in The Woodlands, but still not a bad venue. We took the hotel shuttle there and a taxi back to avoid the four mile drive through the hood. The staff at the Magnolia Hotel in Dallas were excellent.

Bluebonnets

Past the peak for wild flowers along Highway 290, but still some nice fields of blue just outside of Chappell Hill. The meatloaf and chicken & dumplings were good at Bevers Kitchen, but the apple pie was excellent! Hope the rains continue to fall and we can get out sooner next year to see waves of blue across the fields between Hempstead and Round Top.
