Swim In October

Did not make it in yesterday, but did this afternoon. Water felt great (83 degrees) after the heater ran for a while. And this is my pool.

Swim Until October

One advantage of the heat wave/drought is that I was swimming today and will swim tomorrow, October 1.

And , yes, this is not my pool, but so what. It is one of the five pools at the Westin Maui Resort & Spa in Kanapali. Great place. My backyard pool is also a great place

53 Ain't Bad, Considering the Alternative

Well now, if I ever live to be an old man,

Fall Almost Here

This water loving parrothead likes the cooler weather, but it is not good that the pool temperature has dropped 10 degrees in one week. 88 F is perfect, 78 F is a little too cool.

How Hot Is IT?

How hot is it this summer in Texas? My grill thermometer starts at 100 F and goes to 800 F. It displays an accurate temperature in the afternoon. 105 F right now and 110 F earlier in the week.

Air Cover

Yesterday afternoon I was floating in the pool when a B-29 flew directly over at about 500 feet. Good thing it was not on a bomb run.
